Our recent Wings Night at Bendigo Flying Club was an incredible success, and the feedback from members has been overwhelmingly positive. It was an evening full of celebration, inspiration, and community spirit that perfectly captured the essence of aviation and what our club stands for.
A Night to Remember
With the clubroom packed to capacity, all 63 seats were filled, making for a vibrant atmosphere. Students and their families joined us for the occasion, adding to the sense of camaraderie that made the night so special. It was wonderful to see family members proudly supporting their loved ones as they reached important milestones in their flying journeys.
A Special Guest: Flight Lieutenant Aimee Heal
We were honored to have Flight Lieutenant Aimee Heal as our guest speaker. Not only did she deliver an engaging and motivational talk, but she also took time before the event to showcase the PC-21 aircraft parked just outside our clubrooms. Over the course of three hours, Aimee guided small groups around the aircraft, sharing insights about its capabilities and answering questions. Her passion for aviation was truly contagious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
Celebrating Achievements
One of the highlights of the evening was recognizing the achievements of our students. Certificates were awarded to those present, marking significant milestones such as first solos, pilot certificates, and cross-country endorsements. It was a joy to witness their hard work being celebrated, with many students bringing along family members to share in their success.
Thank You
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to making Wings Night such a memorable event. Special thanks go to Flight Lieutenant Aimee Heal for her time, expertise, and passion, which elevated the evening to new heights.
We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future and continuing to celebrate the achievements of our members. Thank you for your ongoing support, and here’s to even more success in the year ahead!
